First and foremost, you are not our customer—we license our technology to your local energy provider. We know the clean energy transition has unexpectedly raised your bills, and your local provider wants to maintain a strong relationship with your community. So, we offer them a way to give you key insights to lower your bills. Everybody wins. This summer, we're paying users ourselves to prove to providers that our tech is worth adopting.
By joining this effort, you'll be promoting cheaper, cleaner energy for all of California.
Your energy data will be transmitted securely through our reputable partner, UtilityAPI.
The Solar Boost™ is calculated in a similar fashion to the Wind Number, only the constant of 100 is replaced by a different proprietary value.
We'll send you your first payment of $50 once we receive your hourly and monthly energy consumption data, sent as a check to the address you provide. Other payments will follow monthly.
Sabreez plans on running this test through October of 2024, but check back next Spring if you enjoyed using cleaner energy and would like to continue to participate.
Sabreez is an energy insights company testing a new rate design to reduce peak energy consumption in California. We are offering up $300 this Summer to participants in our beta test program.
The Clean Energy Factor® is the sum of the Wind Number™ and the Solar Boost™.
The Wind Number™ is defined as wind power divided by electric-power generated by thermal resources like natural gas and coal, which is then multiplied by 100. A Wind Number™ of 100 means equal amounts of electricity are coming from wind and thermal resources.
Sabreez processes data from the California Independent System Operator (CAISO). You can view our source data at http://www.caiso.com/TodaysOutlook/Pages/supply.html.
